2014 CPRSP Application Deadline for 2013 RRSP Deduction – January 20, 2014

Physician appliaction deadline for CPRSP to get 2013 RRSP deductionRRSP contributions made in the first 60 days of 2014 are eligible for deduction on your 2013 personal income tax return. This year, the contribution deadline for a 2013 RRSP deduction is March 3, 2014.

However, if you want your CPRSP benefit payments to be deductible on your 2013 personal income tax return, you must submit your CPRSP application to the BCMA by January 20, 2014.

The BCMA will continue to process applications received after January 20, but the corresponding benefit payments will be made after March 3, 2014 and will only be available for deduction as RRSP contributions on 2014 personal tax returns.

The BCMA benefits department can answer any questions about the application process.
